After we collided

The world of Tessa Young, meticulously planned and colored in soft, predictable hues, shattered the moment she stepped onto the campus of Washington State University. Eighteen years old, with a reliable high school boyfriend, Noah, and a mother whose expectations were a constant, guiding hum, Tessa arrived with a clear vision for her future, one filled with academic success and sensible choices. But her carefully constructed reality began to fray with the introduction of her roommate, Steph, a vibrant, rebellious force, and Steph's circle of friends.

Among them stood Hardin Scott, a brooding Englishman with a shock of tousled brown hair, tattoos adorning his skin, and a lip ring that spoke of defiance. He was rude, arrogant, and utterly unlike anyone Tessa had ever encountered. Despite her initial disdain, an undeniable, potent chemistry sparked between them, drawing Tessa into Hardin's chaotic orbit, a world brimming with passion, drama, and emotional turbulence. She found herself inexplicably drawn to his dark mood, a dangerous allure that ignited a passion within her she never knew existed.

Their encounters were a tempestuous dance of push and pull. Hardin would infuriate her with his callous words and disappearances, only to return with a magnetic pull that Tessa found impossible to resist. He was a walking contradiction, capable of both breathtaking tenderness and cutting cruelty. Tessa, the good girl who had always followed the rules, began to shed her inhibitions, making choices that defied her upbringing and her own sensible nature. She attended parties, drank, and found herself entangled in a relationship that challenged every belief she held about love and commitment.

The intensity of their connection deepened, pulling Tessa further away from her old life, including her steady boyfriend, Noah, who struggled to understand the transformation in the girl he once knew. Hardin's past was a labyrinth of pain, marked by a traumatic childhood that fueled his volatile behavior and haunted his nights with screaming nightmares. Tessa, in turn, found herself navigating the complexities of his anger and vulnerability, believing she could be the one to understand and perhaps even heal him.

Just as their tumultuous relationship seemed to find a fragile stability, a devastating betrayal ripped through Tessa's world. A cruel truth emerged: Hardin's initial pursuit of her had been nothing more than a bet with his friends, a callous game to take her virginity. The revelation shattered Tessa's trust, leaving her broken and questioning every intimate moment they had shared. She fled, heartbroken, seeking solace and the full, agonizing details from Zed, one of Hardin's friends.

In the aftermath, Hardin, consumed by remorse, pleaded for forgiveness, confessing that his fabricated affections had evolved into genuine love. Tessa, however, was left to grapple with the profound pain of his deception and the wreckage of her own heart. The story became a raw exploration of love, betrayal, and the agonizing journey of self-discovery, leaving her to decide if the love they shared could ever truly overcome such a profound wound.
