Bts

Many readers found this book to be an enjoyable and engaging read, particularly for those new to or already fond of BTS and K-pop. It is appreciated for offering a broad overview of the K-pop genre and industry, sometimes including information about other groups and popular songs. The book contains numerous full-page pictures of the band, which many fans found appealing. Some reviewers noted that it describes BTS's history and achievements in a positive light and even includes some lessons on Korean lingo, providing a good initial introduction for those wanting to learn more about the group and its cultural impact.

However, a significant number of reviews highlight considerable inaccuracies and factual errors within the book, especially regarding BTS itself. The most frequently cited issue is the mislabeling of band members in photos, such as using a picture of V for Jung Kook. Critics also pointed out instances where biographical details were incorrect or taken out of context, leading to questions about the author's research depth and understanding. Many felt the book relied on superficial English-language sources, resulting in a lack of nuance and substance. The writing style was often described as basic, akin to a lengthy online article rather than a thoroughly researched publication, which undermined the book's legitimacy for more knowledgeable readers.

Overall, the book elicits a mixed response, largely depending on the reader's existing familiarity with BTS and K-pop. While it serves as a visually appealing and generally positive introduction to the band and the genre, it falls short on factual accuracy and in-depth reporting for dedicated fans. Therefore, this book would be best suited for very new fans of BTS, individuals just beginning to explore the K-pop phenomenon, or those seeking a light, casual read primarily for its pictures and broad overview, rather than a definitive or highly precise biographical account.
