Cell

On an ordinary October day, the world ends not with a bang, but with a ring. A mysterious signal, transmitted through every cell phone, instantly and irrevocably rewires the human brain. Anyone using their phone at that moment is transformed into a creature of mindless, murderous rage. Civilization collapses in an instant, and the streets are filled with the violent, zombie-like victims of what will become known as "The Pulse." Graphic artist Clayton Riddell, who has just landed a life-changing career deal, is one of the lucky few without a cell phone. He is now a stranger in a familiar world.

Amid the chaos and carnage of a burning Boston, Clay's only goal is to make his way north through the ruins of New England to find his young son. Joined by a handful of other survivors, he must navigate a landscape where the greatest threat is a humanity reduced to its most primal instincts. But the "phoners" are not just a mindless mob; they are beginning to evolve, to flock together, and perhaps even to think. This journey is more than a desperate search for family; it is a confrontation with the dark potential of technology and a world where the lines between communication and destruction have been erased.
