Counselling Skills and Studies

"Counselling Skills and Studies" offers a practical introduction for individuals seeking to enhance their helping roles or begin training as professional counselors. This guide is structured into three parts: Counselling Skills, which covers foundational knowledge and practical tools for ethical helping; Counselling Studies, delving into important theories and professional issues to prepare for professional practice; and Counselling Study Skills, offering advice on portfolio development, journal writing, essay writing, and research.

The book, particularly its third edition, incorporates new content on counselling skills competencies, working with diverse client groups, and online counselling, alongside updated case studies, tips, and activities. Written in a supportive, conversational style and filled with practical activities, it serves as essential reading for anyone embarking on their initial stages of counselling training.
