Dark Lover

In the shadows of Caldwell, New York, a secret war has raged for centuries. A band of elite vampire warriors, the Black Dagger Brotherhood, defends their race from a society of soulless killers. At their helm is Wrath, the last purebred vampire on the planet, a reluctant king with a score to settle against those who murdered his parents. His life is dedicated to the fight, leaving no room for emotion or distraction.

When his most trusted soldier is killed, Wrath is charged with an unexpected duty: protecting the man's half-human daughter, Beth Randall. Unaware of her heritage or the violent world that awaits, Beth is a journalist whose life is irrevocably shattered when a dangerously seductive stranger appears. He reveals a fate she cannot escape and a world of blood and shadows she must now enter. Pulled into the heart of an ancient conflict, her only hope for survival is the fearsome warrior who has sworn to protect her, a man whose touch ignites a hunger that could consume them both.
