Die Arena

On an ordinary autumn day in Chester's Mill, Maine, the town is abruptly sealed off from the rest of the world by an invisible, impenetrable barrier. Planes crash from the sky, cars explode upon impact, and families are separated in an instant. With no explanation for the dome's appearance and no way of knowing if it will ever vanish, the residents find themselves trapped in a terrifying new reality where the rules of society no longer apply.

As resources dwindle and panic spreads, a sinister new social order begins to form. The town's fate falls into the hands of a few key players: Dale Barbara, an Iraq veteran, finds himself pitted against Big Jim Rennie, a ruthless politician who views the catastrophe as a chance to seize absolute power. The true adversary is not just the mysterious dome, but the darkness within human nature that emerges when civilization is stripped away. This story explores whether a community can survive when its worst impulses are unleashed and its citizens turn on one another.
