In the blood-soaked streets of 1850s Madrid, a violent uprising against Queen Isabel II engulfs the city in chaos. Amid the cannon fire and turmoil, the lives of a ballerina named Leonor and a medical student, Mauro, collide when they are unintentionally drawn into a murder. Their sudden connection offers a brief refuge, but the escalating danger and the law closing in forces them to make an impossible choice that will irrevocably alter the course of their lives.

To escape execution, Leonor flees to Cuba, accepting a life in what she believes is a tropical paradise. However, the island's vibrant beauty conceals a brutal reality built on the suffering of slaves in its sugar plantations. What was meant to be a sanctuary becomes another kind of hell, a place of profound cruelty and hidden horrors. Her desperate situation becomes even more complex when she reencounters Mauro under the most unlikely of circumstances, forcing them to navigate a treacherous world where they must fight not only for their love, but for their very survival against a mysterious and savage evil.
