Fabelheim

For centuries, mystical creatures have been gathered into a hidden refuge called Fablehaven to prevent their extinction. It is one of the last strongholds of true magic in a disenchanted world. Kendra and her brother, Seth, have no idea that their grandfather is the current caretaker. While their parents are away, they are sent to stay at his remote estate, where they are given strict rules and warned to stay out of the surrounding woods. But when the siblings uncover the truth about the preserve, they find themselves in a world they could not have imagined, filled with mischievous satyrs, plotting witches, greedy trolls, and spiteful imps.

The ancient laws that keep Fablehaven a safe haven are soon broken, unleashing a powerful evil that was long kept imprisoned. With their family in danger and the fate of the preserve hanging in the balance, Kendra and Seth must find the courage to face down creatures of legend. This journey into a world of wonder and peril reveals that true magic requires bravery and that the strictest rules exist for the most important reasons.
