Fleurs captives (Fleurs captives, Tome 1)

After a heartbreaking tragedy shatters their idyllic family life, four children are brought to their wealthy grandparents' mansion with a promise of a temporary hiding place. For the sake of a massive inheritance, they must remain a secret, concealed in a dusty, unused attic. Their mother assures them it will only be for a little while, just until her dying father writes her back into his will. But as the days stretch into agonizing months and then years, the attic becomes their entire world.

Confined to the shadows of the grand house, Cathy, Chris, and the young twins are left to the mercy of a cruel, superstitious grandmother and the dwindling visits of a mother they barely recognize. As they grow up in isolation, they must depend solely on one another to survive the cramped space and the dark secrets that begin to surface. This gothic tale explores the psychological toll of imprisonment and the desperate measures children will take to endure betrayal from the one person who was supposed to protect them.
