Haunted

Many readers found this installment to be a solid continuation of the series, particularly praising the development of character relationships and the intensifying romantic dynamics. Reviewers often highlighted the heightened emotional stakes and found themselves invested in the protagonist's complex interactions with her love interests. The book is also noted for expanding on the protagonist's unique abilities and the broader scope of the supernatural world, with some finding specific action sequences and the overall ending to be entertaining and satisfying.

However, a significant number of readers expressed strong disappointment, considering this a low point in the series. Common criticisms include a perceived lack of significant plot progression, with the main supernatural element often taking a backseat to romantic drama. Many reviewers found the protagonist's character frustrating, describing her as overly focused on her romantic life, indecisive, and at times, inconsistent with her established personality. The central love triangle, while engaging for some, was seen by others as problematic due to one character's aggressive behavior and the protagonist's confusing reactions. Additionally, several felt that supporting characters and family members were underdeveloped or neglected, contributing to a decline in overall series quality.

Ultimately, this book elicits a divided response. It is most likely to appeal to existing fans of the series who are deeply invested in the protagonist's romantic journey and the evolving love triangle, especially those who appreciate intense character-driven conflict over traditional supernatural mystery plots. Readers seeking consistent characterization, a strong sense of plot progression in the supernatural storyline, or those sensitive to problematic romantic dynamics, may find this particular volume frustrating.
