Insoumise

In pursuit of a future she is determined to choose for herself, Cassia has left the perfectly controlled world of the Society behind. Her quest leads her to the Outer Provinces, a harsh and unforgiving landscape where Ky has been sent to fight a war he is not expected to survive. But when she arrives, she discovers that Ky has escaped, vanishing into the treacherous canyons. Now, Cassia must navigate a maze of rock and dust, unsure of who to trust and what dangers lie ahead in a land where the Society's rules no longer apply.

Told from the alternating perspectives of Cassia and Ky, their separate journeys unfold across a beautiful but brutal frontier. While Cassia follows a trail of clues that hint at a growing rebellion, Ky fights for survival, haunted by his past and wary of the future. They are pushed to their limits, forced to question everything they thought they knew about love, freedom, and the cost of defiance. This story explores whether two people can find their way back to each other when the entire world is designed to keep them apart.
