Jean Atwood is a brilliant and ambitious intern at the top of her class, with her sights set on a prestigious career in surgical gynecology. Her plans are abruptly derailed when she is assigned to a six-month rotation in a small women's health clinic run by the enigmatic Dr. Karma. Jean sees this as a frustrating detour, a place where she will simply have to listen to women's everyday complaints instead of honing her surgical skills. This graphic novel chronicles the tense and transformative relationship between the young, technically-minded intern and the experienced doctor who believes true healing begins with understanding a patient's story.
