Lui & Moi

Anna Andrews, a BBC correspondent, is forced to return to Blackdown, the village she swore never to revisit, when a woman is found brutally murdered there. The victim is an old friend from Anna's past, a past she has tried to bury. The lead investigator, DCI Jack Harper, is Anna's ex-husband, and he also knew the victim intimately. As more bodies are discovered, each with a chilling connection to their shared history, Anna and Jack find themselves working together, each with their own secrets and reasons to fear. With two versions of every story - his and hers - and an unknown third voice weaving through the narrative, the truth becomes a shifting target, leaving everyone, including the reader, to question who can be trusted. This psychological thriller promises a complex web of lies and betrayals where the past refuses to stay buried, and the line between victim and suspect blurs.
