Monster, Vol. 1 The Perfect Edition

Dr. Kenzo Tenma is a brilliant Japanese neurosurgeon in Germany with a promising career, a wealthy fiancée, and the favor of the hospital's director. His life is perfectly arranged until a fateful choice forces him to confront his own morality. Faced with operating on a young boy with a gunshot wound or the city's mayor, Tenma chooses to save the child, adhering to his belief that all lives are equal. This single act of principle costs him everything he has, shattering his career and personal life in an instant.

Years later, a series of horrifying murders forces Tenma to confront the chilling consequences of his decision. The boy he saved, Johan Liebert, has grown into an unnervingly charismatic and intelligent man who is also a manipulative sociopath, leaving a trail of death and despair in his wake. Implicated in the crimes and hunted by the police, Tenma abandons his life and goes on the run. His journey across Germany becomes a desperate search to find the enigmatic young man he once saved and to stop the monster he feels responsible for unleashing upon the world. This psychological thriller explores the depths of human nature, questioning the very definition of good and evil and what it means to be a monster.
