The true culprits were none other than Alfred Inglethorp and Evelyn Howard, who, despite their public animosity, were secret lovers. They had conspired to murder Mrs. Inglethorp for her fortune, even using a disguise to purchase the poison and fabricating evidence to implicate others. The revelation sent a shockwave through Styles Court, leaving us all stunned by the sheer audacity and cunning of their scheme, and by the undeniable brilliance of Hercule Poirot.
