Nunca, nunca

The book is frequently praised for its intriguing and unique premise, which immediately captivates readers. Many reviewers found themselves utterly drawn into the story of two teenagers who wake up with no memories, compelled to discover what happened to them and their shared past. The initial parts of the book are lauded for successfully building suspense and keeping readers hooked, eager to uncover the mystery. Readers often enjoyed witnessing the main characters, Charlie and Silas, navigate their confusing new reality and work together to piece together their identities. Aspects such as the engaging writing style and the portrayal of the male lead, Silas, as "adorable" were also highlighted as positive elements, contributing to an overall enjoyable and fast-paced reading experience for many. Some appreciated the blend of romance with elements of fantasy or a "mindfuck" quality, finding the journey itself to be fun and thought-provoking regarding themes of memory and identity.

Despite a promising start, a significant number of reviews express disappointment, particularly with the book's resolution and overall execution. The most common criticism revolves around the ending, which many found to be unsatisfying, illogical, or "stupid." Reviewers frequently reported feeling confused even after finishing the book, with numerous unanswered questions and unresolved plot points. The explanation for the central mystery was often described as cheesy, implausible, or a "let down," failing to deliver on the intrigue built in the earlier sections. Some felt the book had immense potential that was ultimately wasted, citing plot holes and a lack of coherence. Additionally, criticisms included the portrayal of certain characters as irritating, unrealistic dialogue for their age, and the perception that the book felt amateurish or overly melodramatic. Several readers also noted that the story, originally split into multiple parts, still felt incomplete or stretched thin.

Overall, the book elicits a highly mixed response, often described as a divisive read that starts strong but falters in its conclusion. It would likely appeal to readers who enjoy young adult romance with a unique, high-concept premise and are willing to embrace a narrative that prioritizes emotional journey and character interaction over a perfectly logical or fully explained plot. Those who appreciate a "second chance" trope and don't mind a somewhat fantastical or "cheesy" resolution might find it an engaging read. However, readers seeking a tightly plotted mystery with a clear, satisfying explanation for its central enigma, or those who get frustrated by unresolved questions and plot holes, may find this book a disappointing experience. It is often noted as not being representative of the authors' best work, particularly for fans expecting a different style or quality.
