The crisp, white air of the Arctic settles around a magnificent polar bear as it lets out a rumbling growl. "Polar Bear, Polar Bear, what do you hear?" comes the question, echoing across the icy landscape. The great white bear listens, its ears twitching, and answers, "I hear a lion roaring in my ear."
The scene shifts, and now a mighty lion, with its golden mane, lets out a fierce roar. "Lion, Lion, what do you hear?" it is asked. The king of the jungle pauses, then replies with a deep rumble, "I hear a hippopotamus snorting in my ear."
Next, a large hippopotamus emerges from the cool water, snorting loudly. "Hippopotamus, Hippopotamus, what do you hear?" The enormous creature replies, its voice a resonant sound, "I hear a flamingo fluting in my ear."
A graceful flamingo, standing on one slender leg, lifts its long neck and lets out a delicate fluting sound. "Flamingo, Flamingo, what do you hear?" it is questioned. The pink bird answers, "I hear a zebra braying in my ear."
Then, a striped zebra, with its striking black and white pattern, lets out a loud, insistent bray. "Zebra, Zebra, what do you hear?" it is asked. The zebra replies, "I hear a boa constrictor hissing in my ear."
From the tangled undergrowth, a long, coiled boa constrictor makes a soft, sibilant hiss. "Boa Constrictor, Boa Constrictor, what do you hear?" The snake answers, its voice like dry leaves, "I hear an elephant trumpeting in my ear."
A grand elephant, with its large ears and long trunk, lets out a powerful, echoing trumpet. "Elephant, Elephant, what do you hear?" The gentle giant replies, "I hear a leopard snarling in my ear."
A spotted leopard, sleek and silent, lets out a sharp, guttural snarl. "Leopard, Leopard, what do you hear?" it is asked. The swift cat answers, "I hear a peacock yelping in my ear."
A beautiful peacock, fanning its iridescent tail feathers, lets out a high-pitched yelp. "Peacock, Peacock, what do you hear?" The magnificent bird replies, "I hear a walrus bellowing in my ear."
Finally, a whiskered walrus, with its long tusks, lets out a deep, booming bellow. "Walrus, Walrus, what do you hear?" The walrus answers, "I hear a zookeeper whistling in my ear." The zookeeper, in turn, whistles a soft tune and, when asked what they hear, replies with a smile, "I hear children growling like a polar bear, roaring like a lion, snorting like a hippopotamus, fluting like a flamingo, braying like a zebra, hissing like a boa constrictor, trumpeting like an elephant, snarling like a leopard, yelping like a peacock, and bellowing like a walrus!"
