Precious Little Life

Scott Pilgrim's life is perfectly adequate. He's 23, plays bass for a band called Sex Bob-omb, is between jobs, and is dating a high schooler. His world is a comfortable mix of band practice, hanging out, and sharing a bed with his witty roommate, Wallace. But his uncomplicated existence is completely disrupted when a rollerblading delivery girl with dangerously fashionable hair, Ramona Flowers, starts appearing in his dreams and then, more enticingly, in real life.

Becoming obsessed, Scott learns that winning Ramona's heart requires more than a charming introduction. To officially date her, he must confront and defeat her seven evil ex-boyfriends in a series of battles that blend the mundane with the surreal. This graphic novel combines slice-of-life comedy with video game logic and over-the-top action, creating a story about a directionless young adult forced to fight for something he truly wants. It explores the baggage we bring into new relationships through a unique and dynamic visual narrative.
