Proclus and his legacy

This book is lauded for presenting a significant amount of interesting material, offering a more eclectic and speculative take compared to a traditional textbook on Proclus reception. Reviewers particularly highlight the fine contributions from young scholars, noting that these writers are at the forefront of contemporary Proclus scholarship, suggesting fresh and advanced insights.

However, the review implies that the book diverges from a conventional textbook format. While its eclectic and speculative nature is presented as a strength, this approach might not be ideal for readers seeking a systematic or foundational introduction to Proclus reception. Those looking for a comprehensive, structured overview might find it less suitable than a more traditional academic survey.

In conclusion, the book appears to be a valuable and thought-provoking resource for those deeply engaged with Proclus studies. It would likely appeal to advanced students, scholars, and specialists in ancient philosophy who appreciate innovative, speculative approaches and wish to explore the latest research from emerging voices in the field, rather than those seeking an introductory guide.
