Regretting You

Morgan Grant is determined to prevent her sixteen-year-old daughter, Clara, from making the same mistakes she did. Getting pregnant and married too young meant Morgan put her own dreams on hold, and she wants a different future for Clara. For her part, Clara finds her mother's predictable life suffocating and wants nothing more than to break free. Their already strained relationship is held together by one person: Chris, Morgan's husband and Clara's father. But when a tragic accident shatters their family, the peace he provided is destroyed along with him.

The devastating consequences of the accident ripple far beyond their initial grief. As Morgan and Clara struggle to cope, they find themselves pushed further apart by secrets, simmering resentment, and misunderstandings. Morgan finds comfort in the last person she ever expected, while Clara grows closer to the one boy she has been forbidden to see. Told from the alternating perspectives of mother and daughter, this story explores the complexities of family, first love, and the gut-wrenching pain of betrayal, questioning if a bond so broken can ever be repaired.
