Requiem pour la Dame Blanche

Autumn 1916, on the Somme front, witnesses two perplexing deaths. First, a celebrated pre-war singer known as "La Dame Blanche" is executed by vigilantes under suspicion of espionage. Soon after, Albert Saulx, a French aviation ace, is found mysteriously stabbed by a German bayonet, red roses scattered in his cockpit, an impossible crime at high altitude. These cases remain unsolved, shrouded in the chaos of war.

Fifteen years later, in 1931, the discovery of a mummified homing pigeon bearing an undeciphered coded message from 1916 reopens old wounds. Six individuals, all intricately linked to these past events, find themselves gathered in an isolated, snowbound house. Trapped together, they are forced to confront the weight of history and their own inner demons as the chilling secrets of the past resurface. This historical detective novel, reminiscent of classic locked-room mysteries, weaves together impossible crimes, espionage, and the lingering shadows of the Great War, challenging readers to uncover the truth behind an intricate enigma.
