RHS You Will Be Able to Garden By the End of This Book A foolproof step-by-step guide to gardening

This book is praised for its utility, especially for individuals embarking on the journey of establishing a garden. Readers found it practical, highlighting its guidance on aspects like soil testing as particularly beneficial. Despite some wanting even more foundational content, the book is generally regarded as an enjoyable read and a valuable resource for future reference.

However, a notable point of criticism is that the book may not be basic enough for absolute beginners. Some reviewers hoped for extremely simple, step-by-step instructions for growing specific items, which the book apparently does not provide in that granular detail. Another significant limitation mentioned is its geographical focus, with the content appearing to be tailored specifically for readers in England, potentially reducing its relevance for an international audience.

In conclusion, this book seems to be a valuable resource for those with some existing gardening knowledge or individuals ready to engage with more comprehensive garden establishment advice. It is best suited for readers seeking practical insights and a broader understanding of gardening principles, rather than a very basic, introductory guide. Potential readers should consider their current gardening skill level and geographical location, as it appears most beneficial for those in England or those prepared to adapt the advice to their local conditions, rather than complete novices seeking ultra-simplified instructions.
