Roberto Carlos por isso essa voz tamanha

The biography "Roberto Carlos: Por isso essa voz tamanha" receives praise for its comprehensive and engaging portrayal of the iconic singer's life. Reviewers highlight the author's extensive experience in crafting biographies and his success in providing a broad overview of Roberto Carlos's rich and diverse journey. The book covers his early life, family background, personal challenges, perseverance in pursuing an artistic career, significant relationships, and the formation of his legendary status. The writing is commended as well-crafted, accessible, and yet profound in its analysis of complex themes related to his life and career, successfully capturing the interest of both dedicated fans and those less familiar with the artist. It is noted for offering a seemingly balanced portrait and being a great read.

Despite its strengths, some reviewers point out areas where the biography could be more robust. A prominent criticism is that the author appears to visibly spare the subject when discussing the period of his artistic stagnation, failing to analyze the decline in the quality of his work with the same depth applied to his rise and peak. Additionally, one reviewer found the book to be lengthy and suggested it could benefit from a more focused examination of Roberto Carlos's recordings and their historical context. It is also acknowledged that any biography about such a significant figure is inherently challenging and risks being perceived as incomplete or partial.

Overall, "Roberto Carlos: Por isso essa voz tamanha" is considered a highly recommended read, offering a largely balanced portrait of the artist and his enduring impact on Brazilian culture. Despite the minor criticisms regarding its scope in certain periods, the book's engaging narrative and insightful analysis make it a valuable addition to the literature on Brazilian music. This biography is particularly well-suited for readers interested in the evolution of Brazilian music over the last six decades, as well as anyone seeking a deep dive into the life of a cultural icon, regardless of whether they are already a fan.
