Ruthless Vows

In a world fractured by a war between gods, journalist Iris Winnow grapples with the disappearance of her husband, Roman Kitt, who vanished behind enemy lines. When Roman reappears as a voice for the opposing side, seemingly changed and without memory of his past, Iris is compelled to uncover the truth. She navigates a city on the brink of collapse, where forbidden magic and the power of the written word become her tools in a quest to understand what has truly happened to the man she loves.

As the divine conflict intensifies, Iris must confront the possibility that Roman has been altered by Dacre, the god driving the war. Their connection, once forged through magical letters, now faces the ultimate test against propaganda, forgotten memories, and the escalating battle. This story explores how love endures amidst distortion and asks what remains when memory falters and war transforms individuals.
