Seven Keys to Baldpate

When novelist William Magee accepts a wager to write a complete book in twenty-four hours, he retreats to the seemingly deserted Baldpate Inn for undisturbed solitude during the dead of winter. His plans for quiet creation are quickly shattered as a parade of unexpected guests, each possessing a key to the inn, begins to arrive. What starts as a solitary writing challenge rapidly devolves into a maelstrom of bribery, gunfire, and hidden agendas.

As Magee finds himself entangled in a complex web of secrets, political intrigue, and even romance, the line between fiction and reality blurs. This mystery-comedy blends suspense with a self-aware look at storytelling itself, inviting readers into a tale where every new arrival deepens the enigma of Baldpate.
