The Adventurer's Son

On July 10, 2014, Cody Roman Dial, son of legendary Alaskan adventurer Roman Dial, embarked on a solo trek into Costa Rica's Corcovado National Park, a rainforest teeming with unseen dangers. His last communication to his father spoke of a challenging journey, but one he believed would be difficult to get lost in forever. When Cody Roman fails to emerge, his father begins a two-year odyssey into the heart of the jungle and the depths of his own past.

This is a gripping account of a father's relentless search for his missing son, a journey that forces him to confront profound questions of love, loss, and the legacy of a life lived on the edge of the wild. It is a story of enduring paternal devotion set against the backdrop of one of the planet's most unforgiving landscapes.
