The Turn of the Key

Rowan Caine takes a live-in nanny position at Heatherbrae House in the remote Scottish Highlands, a luxurious "smart" home equipped with cutting-edge technology. What initially seems like a dream job with a generous salary quickly turns into a nightmare as she finds herself isolated with the Elincourt children, whose behavior is far from ideal. Mysterious occurrences, malfunctioning tech, and the unsettling atmosphere of the house begin to erode her sense of security.

Now, Rowan is in prison, accused of murdering one of the children. Writing to her lawyer, she insists on her innocence, recounting the bewildering and terrifying events that led to her incarceration. The question remains: what truly happened within the walls of Heatherbrae House, and can Rowan convince anyone of the truth when everything seems to point to her guilt?
