Un recuerdo de luz

A Memory of Light is widely celebrated as a magnificent and glorious conclusion to the epic Wheel of Time series. Reviewers frequently praise Brandon Sanderson for his exceptional work in completing Robert Jordan's vision, noting his ability to maintain the series' unique feel while injecting a faster pace and focusing on compelling character development. The book is lauded for its intense, action-packed narrative, particularly the colossal Last Battle, which is described as a gripping, emotionally resonant, and satisfying payoff for long-time readers. Many found the depiction of heroic arcs for both main and supporting characters to be deeply moving, with the intricate world-building and vivid storytelling continuing to be strong points that held their investment throughout.

However, the book also draws a number of criticisms. Some readers found the early battle sequences repetitive or felt that certain character arcs and plot resolutions were unsatisfying, lacking the emotional depth expected after such a lengthy series. Complaints include key secondary characters being underdeveloped or their fates handled dismissively, leading to a perceived lack of emotional consequence for significant events and deaths. A few reviewers noted inconsistencies in character voices or motivations compared to earlier books, and the introduction of some factions late in the series felt like a plot convenience rather than an organically built storyline. Additionally, some critics felt the book, while epic, could be either too rushed in its conclusion or, conversely, padded in its action.

Ultimately, A Memory of Light is considered a fitting and largely satisfying ending to a monumental fantasy saga. It is highly recommended for dedicated fans who have journeyed through the previous thirteen books, as it delivers the epic scope and character moments they have been anticipating for decades, making the investment of time worthwhile. While not without its imperfections, particularly in certain character resolutions and pacing, the book provides a cathartic and emotional close to a beloved series, ensuring its place as one of the genre's great accomplishments.
