Veinte Poemas de Amor y una Canción Desesperada

Your body, a landscape of white hills and thighs, emerges in the mind's eye, a surrender to the world's hunger. There is a wildness in these early moments, a fierce, almost primal connection where the beloved is absorbed into the very fabric of existence. The sun burns in your hair, a bright, golden fire, and the scent of the sea clings to your form, bringing with it the vastness of the ocean and the promise of uncharted depths. Every touch is an exploration, every glance a revelation, as if the very act of knowing you is to know the secrets of the earth itself. The poems unfurl with a youthful fervor, a celebration of physical intimacy and the intoxicating power of attraction, where desire is as natural and overwhelming as the tides.

As the days turn, the beloved becomes intertwined with the natural world, her presence evoked by the twilight's hush, the rustle of leaves, or the distant murmur of a river. Sometimes, you are still, silent, as if laden with sorrow, and your silence is like a lamp, simple and profound. It is in these quiet moments that the imagination takes flight, painting her with the hues of the earth and sky, transforming her into a vessel for both tangible beauty and unspoken longing. You are like the night, vast and star-strewn, and your silence is a distant and tender star, capable of holding the universe of emotions that stir within.

Yet, even in the midst of this fervent adoration, a subtle shift begins to occur. The intense celebration of love starts to intertwine with a burgeoning melancholy. The passion, though still vivid, is tinged with the awareness of its own fleeting nature. There are moments when the beloved feels distant, a shadow slipping through the grasp, and the heart, once so full, begins to sense the hollow spaces that absence can create. The beauty of the connection remains, but a quiet sadness underlies the vibrant imagery, a premonition of what might be lost.

The memory of her then becomes a haunting presence, emerging from the night around you, the wind carrying echoes of a voice that once filled every corner of your world. You find yourself writing, for example, on the saddest night, recalling the immensity of having loved her, feeling her absence keenly. The stars shiver in the distance, and you ask yourself if she is with you still. The act of writing becomes a way to process the sorrow, to capture the essence of a love that, though perhaps gone, leaves an indelible mark.

The realization dawns that perhaps you no longer love her, that the certainty of that past affection has dissolved, yet the memory of how deeply you loved her persists. Your voice, once striving to reach her through the wind, now finds only the empty spaces. She will belong to another, her bright body, her infinite eyes, once solely yours, now destined for someone else. This painful awareness of separation, of the beloved becoming another's, deepens the sense of loss.

And so, the journey culminates in a desolate "Song of Despair." The initial intensity of sensual passion gives way to a profound sense of heartbreak and the devastation of dissolution. The landscapes of love transform into desolate emotional terrains, reflecting the anguish of grappling with her absence. It is a lamentation, a raw outpouring of sorrow for a love that has passed, leaving behind a vast and aching emptiness. The ephemeral nature of love is laid bare, portraying the emotional turmoil and heartache that accompany its end, a poignant contrast between ecstasy and profound sorrow.
