Wildfire A Novel

After a one-night stand to close out the school year, Russ Callaghan and Aurora Roberts don't expect to see each other again. He's a shy hockey goalie, and she's an extrovert who never overstays her welcome. But their plans for a summer of escape from complicated home lives take an unexpected turn when they arrive for their new jobs as counselors at a sleepaway camp, only to find they are coworkers. Now, they are stuck with each other, navigating an undeniable attraction in a place with one very strict rule: no staff fraternizing.

Both hoping to find a sense of peace and purpose, Russ and Aurora agree to keep things professional. Yet, as the summer unfolds, the chemistry that brought them together for one night intensifies. They are each running from family issues and personal insecurities, but the camp environment forces them to confront their pasts and open up in ways they never expected. What began as a fleeting connection ignites into something deeper, forcing them to decide if their bond is worth breaking the rules for and if the fire between them can last beyond the summer.
