The Drawing of the Three

The quest for the Dark Tower continues, but the path forward is anything but clear. Roland of Gilead, the last gunslinger, awakens on a desolate beach in a world that has moved on, only to be immediately savaged by a monstrous creature from the sea. Maimed, poisoned, and with his strength failing, Roland's pursuit seems doomed. But then he discovers three freestanding doors standing on the sand, each a portal to New York City at different points in time. Behind each door lies a destiny intertwined with his own, a person he must draw into his world if he is to have any hope of survival and reaching the Tower.

These are not the heroes of legend. One is "The Prisoner," a young man named Eddie Dean, lost in the depths of heroin addiction. The other is "The Lady of Shadows," Odetta Holmes, a courageous civil rights activist with a dark and violent secret that splits her mind in two. Roland must reach into their lives, into our world, and make them his companions. This journey blends gritty reality with dark fantasy, forcing the gunslinger to navigate dangers far stranger than any he has faced before and to forge a team from the most unlikely of souls.
